Siem Reap in wide angle

Our trip to Siem Reap in Cambodia was the perfect time for me to bring out my lightweight, toy-looking wide angle camera. The Superheadz Usagi Camel has become uhm...sticky from the hot weather and lack of use (nothing that a bit of baby powder can't fix) but still works splendidly. The camera may look a little worse for wear (no photos; it's that icky), but the shots that came out are absolutely YES. Of course, it helped that I loaded it with my one and only Kodak EliteChrome 100 slide film. Just look at those beautiful blues.

On our last day in Siem Reap, we visited the War Memorial Monument, which honors the soldiers who died while freeing Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge. There were 8836 men and women who gave up their lives "for the Nation, Religion, and Kingdom" and whose names were written on plaques behind the monument (second photo).

Giants, dragons, amazing dancers, and a miniature Phnom Penh at the Cultural Village.

Living on water. We also got a glimpse of the floating village life on the Tonle Sap Lake. Look at that first frame burn!

See you again soon, Siem Reap!
